Why was the by-election held in Milkipur?
Let us tell you that the Milkipur assembly seat fell vacant after Awadhesh prasad was elected from the faizabad seat in the 2024 lok sabha elections, due to which a by-election was held here. SP had fielded Awadhesh Prasad's son Ajit prasad in the by-election while bjp chose party worker Chandrabhanu Paswan, both from the Pasi community. At the same time, the Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) did not contest the by-election while congress was supporting alliance partner SP on this seat.
