Delhi election Results Brought Tension For punjab Too?

Aam Aadmi party (AAP) faced a crushing defeat in the delhi Assembly elections. It is also worth noting that aam aadmi party lost in the 12 seats on which punjab chief minister bhagwant mann had campaigned. These included the seats of party leader arvind kejriwal and former deputy cm Manish Sisodia, where these big leaders themselves also lost. After this defeat, new discussions have gained momentum within the party and in punjab politics. After AAP's defeat in the delhi elections, all eyes are now on Punjab. Senior congress leader and leader of Opposition in punjab Assembly Pratap Singh Bajwa has made a big claim. He said that arvind kejriwal can now become the chief minister of Punjab. Bajwa, in his statement, also cited the recent comment of punjab government minister and AAP state president Aman Arora, in which Aman Arora had said that any Hindu can also become the chief minister in Punjab.

Possibility of conflict within AAP

If AAP takes such a decision, there may be differences between the supporters of chief minister bhagwant mann and the other faction of the party in Punjab. Bajwa also said that after the death of AAP mla Gurpreet Gogi from ludhiana seat in punjab, by-elections are bound to be held there. If AAP wants, arvind kejriwal can be made the chief minister by contesting from this seat. However, there has been no official response from AAP on this claim yet.

Eyes on AAP's strategy in Punjab

AAP had formed the government by winning a landslide victory in the 2022 punjab Assembly elections. bhagwant mann became the chief minister, but arvind kejriwal has been seen interfering in punjab politics many times. Opposition parties have also accused him of running the punjab government with 'remote control'. Now after the defeat in the delhi elections, the discussion has intensified whether kejriwal himself is preparing to play a bigger role in punjab politics? Well, anything is possible in politics, so the question arises that if Bajwa's claim proves to be true, then a big change can be seen in punjab politics. At present, the AAP government seems to be stable in punjab, but everyone's eyes are on the party's next strategy.
