Can bjp form government in West Bengal?
The Left Front (CPI-M) ruled West bengal for decades and the trinamool congress (TMC) has been in power since 2011. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the bjp performed brilliantly and won 18 seats, indicating that its hold in the state is getting stronger. But, in the 2021 assembly elections, TMC won 213 seats and formed the government for the third consecutive time and the bjp was reduced to 77 seats. Although the bjp has emerged as the main opposition party in West bengal, it has not yet formed a government in the state.
Allegations of corruption and scams against TMC can become a big issue for the BJP. Issues like Hindutva politics and NRC-CAA in bengal can also go in BJP's favor. If the BJP is able to build a strong organization in bengal and there is an internal rift in mamata Banerjee's party, then the contest in the next election can be tough. The biggest challenge is that the TMC vote bank is still strong and mamata Banerjee's image is very effective in Bengal.
Is Kerala and bengal now in Modi's mission?
After winning delhi, the next target for BJP can be the states of South and East, especially kerala and Bengal. The strategy of PM Modi and amit shah has always been focused on long-term politics, where they gradually increase their base and then reach power.
BJP is forming government in delhi after 27 years, so the party will try its best to fulfill its mission in kerala and bengal too. Although the political conditions of both the states are different, but if bjp adopts the right strategy, then the possibility of change of power in bengal and kerala in the coming years cannot be ruled out.
