MNS fought the assembly elections alone
MNS chief Raj thackeray had supported the bjp in the 2024 lok sabha elections, but after this Thackeray's party contested the state assembly elections on its own in november last year. MNS could not win a single seat in the assembly elections. However, it is believed that the two leaders have met regarding the upcoming BMC elections.
Actually, elections are to be held in 27 municipalities of maharashtra, including BMC. Apart from this, the first election is also to be held in the two new municipalities created recently. Due to non-conduct of local body elections, the work of administration in all the municipalities is done by the administrators appointed by the government.
