AAP's 'No Repeat Formula' Proved Ineffective In Delhi?
In the delhi Assembly elections 2025, the 'no repeat formula' gamble backfired for aam aadmi party chief Arvind Kejriwal. Due to several reasons, 26 of the 47 mlas of the party who contested the elections lost the elections. The party expressed confidence in 20 new candidates, but they too failed to show strength. Out of 20, only 4 new candidates succeeded in winning the elections. The most damaging thing for AAP in the elections was that the voters of delhi rejected even the big faces of the party.
AAP chief arvind kejriwal had decided not to give tickets to 23 out of 62 sitting mlas or give them tickets from some other seat. Apart from this, the tickets of three mlas were cut and their relatives were made candidates. At that time the party felt that it would be difficult for these mlas to win the elections in the anti-incumbency wave, but this strategy went against the party. This is the reason why it had to face a shameful defeat this time.
BJP's strike rate was 100 percent
On the contrary, bjp fielded 6 out of 8 sitting mlas and all of them won the elections. That is, the strike rate of BJP's sitting mlas was 100 percent this time. What is worrying for AAP is that big faces like arvind kejriwal, manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Satyendra Jain, Rakhi Bidlan and Raghuvinder Shaukeen also lost the elections. Overall, this time AAP managed to win only 22 seats out of 70. Now these mlas will have to sit in the opposition for the next five years.
The performance of the sitting mlas on 47 seats is shameful
Rajesh Gupta from Wazirpur, Akhileshpati Tripathi from Model Town, Satyendra Jain from Shakur Basti, Bandana Kumari from Shalimar Bagh, manish Sisodia from Jangpura, Shivcharan Goyal from Moti nagar, Durgesh Pathak from Rajendra nagar, Saurabh Bhardwaj from Greater Kailash, somnath Bharti from Malviya nagar, arvind kejriwal from New delhi, Pramila Tokas from rk Puram, Sharad Chauhan from Narela, Ajesh Yadav from Badli, jai Bhagwan from Bawana, Raghuvinder Shaukeen from Nangloi Jat, Mohinder Goyal from Rithala, Dinesh Mohaniya from Sangam Vihar, Rakhi Bidlan from Madipur, Vinay Mishra from Dwarka, Mahinder Yadav from Vikaspuri, Dhanwanti Chandela from Rajouri Garden, Vikas Bagga from krishna Nagar and pooja N Balyan from Uttam nagar and others lost the elections.
