In his post on 'X', ashok gehlot rejected the claim of aam aadmi party in which they said that congress played a role in their defeat in the delhi elections. ashok gehlot said that congress will be in the role of the main opposition in delhi and will prepare for the upcoming elections. ashok gehlot wrote, "The allegations made by aam aadmi party against congress for making them lose in delhi are completely baseless. In reality, aam aadmi party has helped congress lose in many states where they had no base, but contested elections there only with the aim of cutting Congress's votes.''

Gehlot said, ''In Gujarat, Goa, uttarakhand where congress was in a good position and BJP's condition was bad, aam aadmi party went there to contest elections and divided Congress's votes, which caused loss to Congress. In these places, most of the winning or losing candidates of AAP later went to other parties including BJP. That means they contested elections only to harm Congress.''
