A plastic factory in Katghar Kotwali area of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh has caught fire. The fire is so intense that smoke is visible everywhere. fire brigade and police teams have reached the spot and efforts are on to extinguish the fire. DM and SSP reached the spot
After the accident, people are being evacuated from nearby areas so that the fire can be extinguished properly because there is a lot of smoke. Seeing the situation getting out of control, the DM and SSP themselves reached the spot and appealed to the people to come out of their houses.
Fire is being assessed with drone camera
District Officer Moradabad Anuj Kumar said that the extent of the fire is being assessed. Along with this, the DM told that it is not clear to him how many people are trapped and there is no loss of life. Drone camera has been ordered and with the help of drone, SSP and DM are assessing the spread of the fire. fire tenders and ambulance vehicles are coming continuously. Moradabad SSP Satpal Antil said that this is a warehouse where plastic pipes and tanks were kept. On receiving the information about the fire, police-administration and fire service vehicles, ambulance vehicles reached the spot. So far the fire has been controlled to a large extent and more than a dozen fire service vehicles are present on the spot. The SSP said that the factory owner informed that no one was trapped inside, a watchman lived there with his family who has been evacuated.
