Amanatullah Khan's troubles increased further?

The high court has issued a notice in the case challenging the order of release of Aam Aadmi Party's Okhla mla Amanatullah Khan in the money laundering case related to delhi Waqf Board. The high court has issued a notice to Amanatullah Khan on ED's petition. The high court asked the lower court to postpone the hearing till the hearing of the case is completed in the High Court. The next hearing of the case in the high court will be on march 21. ED argued that there was no need for sanction to prosecute Amanatullah Khan. ED said that during the hearing of the case, the aspect of sanction was not heard and there was no opportunity to argue on those aspects. ED said that the high court had rejected the petition seeking relief from the arrest of Amanatullah Khan, the supreme court also refused to hear the case.

What is the allegation on Amanatullah Khan's wife?

The ED said that the allegations against Amanatullah Khan's wife are that she received money from crime and knowingly helped Amanatullah Khan. The ED had filed a 110-page first supplementary prosecution complaint (similar to a charge sheet) on october 29, 2024, alleging that Amanatullah Khan earned money through corruption in the delhi Waqf Board. Amanatullah Khan was arrested by the ED on september 2, 2024 under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The ED searched his residence in Okhla area of Delhi.

Amanatullah Khan moved court to avoid arrest

Earlier, Amanatullah Khan moved a delhi court on thursday to request anticipatory bail in the case of allegedly leading the attack on the police team in Jamia nagar on february 10. Khan filed a petition before Special Judge jitendra singh requesting protection from arrest before joining the investigation. He claimed that the allegations against him are false.
