Big relief to AAP mla Amanatullah Khan from Okhla…

Aam Aadmi party (AAP) mla Amanatullah Khan from Okhla, delhi got a big relief from the court on thursday (13 February). Delhi's Rouse Avenue court has stayed his arrest till 24 February. Amanatullah Khan had filed a petition for anticipatory bail to avoid arrest on charges of attacking the police team. Hearing on this was held today.

Interrogation should be done under CCTV surveillance - Court

During the hearing, Amanatullah Khan's lawyer said that he is ready to join the investigation. He claimed that the allegations against him are false. On this, the court said that Amanatullah Khan should be interrogated at Jamia nagar police station, at a place where CCTVs are installed.

What is the allegation on Amanatullah Khan?

On Monday, delhi police had registered an FIR against the Okhla mla for allegedly attacking a police team in Jamia Nagar. The police said that the mob led by the mla helped Shabaz Khan, an accused in an attempt to murder case, escape from custody. police said that the alleged incident took place when the Crime Branch of delhi police tried to arrest the accused named Shabaz Khan. Amanatullah Khan says that the person whom the police had gone to arrest had already got bail.

Khan wrote a letter to delhi Police

Police sources had claimed that Khan has been absconding since then. The police team also raided several places for this. On wednesday (February 12), Amanatullah Khan wrote a letter to delhi police Commissioner Sanjay Arora saying that the police is implicating him in a false case. He has not gone anywhere, he is in his assembly constituency.
