DDA stepped out of the border for the first time!

The delhi Development Authority (DDA) today stepped out of the borders for the first time and signed an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the andaman and nicobar islands Administration. The agreement was signed at Asita, a major site of the yamuna Riverfront Development Project. Lieutenant governor of andaman and nicobar islands Admiral DK Joshi was also present on this occasion. The agreement is expected to start a new chapter of development, coordination and mutual cooperation for both the Union Territories.

The initiative will accelerate development while furthering prime minister Narendra Modi's vision of "cooperative, competitive and complementary federalism". Both the Union Territories will exchange expertise in the areas of urban planning, infrastructure development, environmental management and sustainable tourism. The initiative will help both the regions to develop better and faster. DDA's expertise is very deep in urban planning and sustainable development. The partnership will further strengthen the tourism infrastructure, infrastructure and environmental protection of the andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The agreement will set an example across the country

The Lieutenant governor described the agreement as a big step towards "innovation and sustainable urban solutions". He said that both the regions will be helped in maintaining better infrastructure, green development and environmental balance. DDA has played an important role in making delhi a modern, well-organized and sustainable city for the last several decades. The experience will now be used in the development of andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Promoting tourism and infrastructure

The andaman and nicobar islands are the most beautiful and strategically important region of India. The partnership will give a new direction to tourism, transport, environment and urban development of the Union Territory. It will also boost the local economy and open new employment opportunities.
