DMRC's clarification on viral video of Delhi's Jama Masjid Metro...'

A video of delhi Metro is going viral in which a crowd of youths is jumping out of the AFC gate of the metro. A lot of objection is being raised on social media regarding this and people are targeting DMRC that if a bus stops at a station for 10 minutes more than the stipulated time, a fine is imposed and no action is being taken against such people.

It can be seen in the viral video that there is a lot of crowd at the station and many youths are jumping out of the AFC gate and laughing and also making a video of it. This has raised questions on the metro system. This video is being told of Jama Masjid Metro Station and the incident is of 13 February.

There was a ruckus on the Violet Line

Now DMRC has clarified on this. DMRC issued a statement on 'X' and said, "A video is going viral on social media in which some passengers are jumping out of the AFC gate. In that regard, DMRC would like to inform that this incident took place on the evening of 13 february 2025 at Jama Masjid Metro Station of Violet Line.''

Security personnel were present on the spot - DMRC

DMRC said in its statement, ''For some time, there was a huge crowd of passengers in the metro when some passengers jumped out of the AFC gate. Security personnel and other staff were present in sufficient numbers at that time to convince such passengers and the situation never went out of control. While this was a momentary reaction of some passengers due to sudden increase in crowd at the AFC gate.''
