Former GM of New india Co-operative bank accused of Rs 122 crore scam! 

New and big revelations are now being made about New india Co-operative bank in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Recently, a shocking incident of looting the bank's vault by the former general manager of New india Co-operative bank has come to light. Former General Manager hitesh Pravinchand Mehta has allegedly withdrawn Rs 122 crore from the bank's treasury.

When hitesh was the General Manager of the bank, he was responsible for Dadar and Goregaon branches. At that time it was revealed that he had committed fraud of Rs 122 crore from the accounts of both the branches by misusing his position. In this case, a complaint was lodged by the Chief Accounts Officer of the bank at Dadar police station, on the basis of which the police filed an FIR.

Case transferred to EOW

The police suspect that hitesh and another person are involved in this scam. Now the police is investigating the matter accordingly. Currently, this case has been transferred to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) for further investigation. According to EOW, the position of accused hitesh Mehta in New india Co-operative bank is General Manager and Head of Accounts. This scam happened when he was in charge of Prabhadevi and Goregaon offices.

EOW summons accused hitesh Patel

EOW has sent summons to the bank's General Manager, Head of Accountant and accused hitesh Patel in the case. EOW sources said that the entry of money kept in the bank is made in the Books of Account. When the Books of Account were tallied, a difference of Rs 122 crore was found between the two. After this, a complaint was lodged, on the basis of which an FIR was registered against hitesh Mehta. EOW has taken the details of the bank's Books of Account in this case, which will be forensically audited.
