Fadnavis government to bring law against 'love jihad'…

Maharashtra's devendra fadnavis government is going to bring a strict law against love jihad. cm fadnavis government has formed a 7-member committee under the leadership of maharashtra State director General of police (DGP). This committee will prepare a report by discussing all the legal and technical aspects regarding love jihad and will submit this report to the government.

A government order has been issued by the home Department on Friday, february 14. It is written in it that there is a case of love jihad, fraud or forced conversion in the state, to stop which, requests have been received from many organizations and some citizens to make a law. love jihad and fraud have also been promoted in some states of India, due to which laws have been made to stop conversion.

This will be the responsibility of the committee

The department said in its government order that the situation of love jihad and fraudulent or forced conversion in maharashtra is being studied in view of other states. The committee has been given one month to recommend remedial measures for the complaints received, study the law in other states and study legal matters as well as draft the law.

Law exists in these BJP-ruled states

The committee is being formed under the chairmanship of the director General of Police. Apart from him, there will be six more members in it. These members are associated with the Department of women and Child Development, Minority Development Department, Law Department, Social Justice Department, home Department. This committee will investigate legal matters and after studying the applicable laws of other states, will recommend making a law in Maharashtra. Laws against love jihad exist in BJP-ruled states like Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, while the proposal related to this law has been approved in Rajasthan.
