Many devotees died in a stampede at New delhi Railway Station on saturday (15 February). aam aadmi party (AAP) has held the central government responsible for this accident. AAP mp Sanjay Singh said that this tragic incident happened due to the negligence of the bjp government. He asked, "After how many deaths will the Railway minister be held accountable?"

Sanjay Singh said in a press conference on sunday (16 February) that there was a crowd of thousands at the station, but there was no arrangement. A stampede occurred due to change of platform number, due to which many devotees were crushed. Negligence of railway administration, attempt to hide the accident

Sanjay Singh said that this accident happened due to the negligence of the railway administration. When the incident happened, there were no security arrangements to control the crowd. He alleged that the Railway minister refused to accept the accident, while the Lieutenant governor (LG) of delhi first accepted the deaths and then edited his tweet. He said that “every time after an accident, the bjp government first calls it a lie, then when the bodies are found, it starts covering it up.”

'Lessons not learnt from accidents'

Sanjay Singh said that a similar accident had happened in Uttar Pradesh during the maha Kumbh, when a stampede occurred due to sudden change of platform number. Even then many people lost their lives, but the government did not learn any lesson from it. He said that “The railways knew that such a large number of devotees would travel, yet no arrangements were made. A stampede was bound to occur due to the sudden announcement of changing the platform.”

'Has dying become the common man's destiny'

Sanjay Singh asked, "Has dying become the common man's destiny?" Sometimes dying in the demonetisation queue, sometimes dying due to lack of oxygen during corona, sometimes dying due to bridge collapse, and sometimes dying in a train accident. "Doesn't the government care about these deaths?" He said that the government does not even express condolences after the accident. On the contrary, even the phones of reporters are broken so that they cannot show the truth.
