These 4 expressways are going to be built in UP!
The budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative assembly started today on Tuesday, 18 february 2025. governor Anandiben patel addressed amid uproar and noise by the opposition. In this address, the governor also mentioned 4 expressways to increase connectivity in the state. governor Anandiben patel said in the address about the 4 expressways to be built in the state that - Uttar Pradesh is known as the expressway in the country. Currently, 4 major expressways (Yamuna Expressway, Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway and Bundelkhand Expressway) are operated by the state government. Apart from this, the construction of the longest expressway of the state, ganga Expressway and Gorakhpur Expressway is going on. Out of the total expressways of the country, Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of expressways.'
Construction of expressway will reduce logistics cost - Governor
The governor further said in his address that, 'The work of construction of Chitrakoot Link Expressway and Agra-Lucknow Expressway to Purvanchal Expressway and agra Lucknow Expressway to Farrukhabad and link expressway connecting ganga Expressway and Jewar airport Link Expressway is going on at a fast pace.
The governor said that the construction work of new expressways is going on by the government to increase connectivity within the state and reduce logistics cost.'
Vindhya Expressway - This 320 km expressway will start from Prayagraj and connect Sonbhadra via Mirzapur, varanasi and Chandauli.
The construction work of spur road is going on to connect Purvanchal Link Expressway from Chandauli to Ghazipur in the state.
An expressway will be constructed to connect Bundelkhand Expressway from Chitrakoot to Prayagraj via Rewa route.
An expressway will be constructed to connect ganga Expressway to meerut and Haridwar.
