Delhi Traffic Police's Big Step, Gave The Message Of Road Safety!

delhi traffic police organized a street play program in Eastern and Northern Range to promote road safety awareness. The aim of this initiative was to alert road users about safe traffic rules and make them aware about the ill-effects of careless behavior.


Street play organized in Eastern Range

Bhajanpura and Nand Nagri Traffic Circle in collaboration with 'Aagahi Foundation' presented street plays at Maujpur Chowk and Durgapuri Chowk. Through this play, the serious consequences of carelessness like drunk driving, not wearing helmet, breaking traffic signals were depicted. The artists presented real life incidents in the form of drama and tried to explain to the people that small carelessness can cause big accidents.


On this occasion, DCP Traffic (Eastern Range) Rajiv Kumar, IPS, while highlighting the importance of road safety education, said that such programs can prove helpful in preventing road accidents. He appealed to the people to follow the traffic rules.


'Zimmdari Hai Ab Hamari'

A street play "Zimmdari Hai Ab Hamari" was staged by rahul khanna, director of Shiksha Through Theatre Group, at Kingsway Camp Chowk. A crowd of about 200 people gathered to watch this impressive presentation. The play emphasized the need to follow traffic rules by showing the dangers of road accidents. traffic police officers including DCP Traffic (Northern Range) sandhya Swami, ACP Traffic (North-West) Dheeraj Narang, and Model Town Traffic Inspector deepak Sharma were present at this event. At the end of the play, DCP sandhya Swami administered an oath to the people present to follow the traffic rules. Along with this, rahul khanna also introduced the new slogan of "Zero Road accident Deaths". Appealing to help the accident victims, DCP Swami said that under the new law, no helper will have the fear of being forced to testify or being harassed by the police. Pamphlets related to road safety were also distributed during the program.
