On the third day of the Uttar Pradesh assembly session, Finance minister Suresh Khanna presented the state budget. The 2025-26 budget for the state is the biggest budget so far. He said that to improve the education of girls in the state, the government is going to upgrade 680 Kasturba gandhi Balika Vidyalayas up to 12th, so that girls from weaker sections can get free education.
Construction of 22 schools in the state at a cost of Rs 25 crore
The Finance minister further said that 57 new chief minister Model Composite Schools have been approved in the state. These schools have been designed for education from pre-primary classes to class 12 with state-of-the-art facilities. Along with this, the construction work of 22 schools is going on at a fast pace in the current financial year, each of which costs Rs 25 crore. The objective of this budget session is to provide better education to every child of the state.

Basic facilities will be developed in the schools of business education Council at a cost of Rs 2000 crore.
