Opposition wants to hurt the faith…, cm Dhami targeted opposition!
Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was on a visit to Haridwar today, where he put forth his views on various issues. Reacting to the criticism being made by the opposition parties, the chief minister said that the opposition is trying to hurt religious sentiments by linking the events related to Sangam and faith with politics.
chief minister Dhami said, “Crores of devotees have taken holy bath in Sangam in Mahakumbh. I myself went there and took stock of the arrangements and ensured that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience at every level. But the way the opposition is giving importance to this issue, it is clear that they want to hurt our religious and cultural faith.
Regarding prime minister Narendra Modi's popular program 'Mann Ki Baat', chief minister Dhami said that this program is not only inspirational but has also become an important medium to recognize the Karmayogis who are doing extraordinary work while remaining anonymous in the society. The chief minister said, "Through more than 100 'Mann Ki Baat' programs so far, the prime minister has given a platform to those heroes working in the society, whom no one knew before. The stories of these Karmayogis have become inspirational for the whole country and the world." He further said that through this program, the persons who brought change in the society have not only been honored, but their work has also inspired the new generation. chief minister Dhami praised the role of prime minister Modi regarding the rescue operation of eight workers trapped in a tunnel in Telangana. He said that whenever there is a major crisis in the country, the prime minister personally monitors the situation and gives necessary instructions. Referring to the Silkira tunnel accident in Uttarakhand, he said, "When 41 workers were trapped in the tunnel in Uttarakhand, prime minister Modi monitored the situation daily. Under his guidance, the rescue operation was successfully completed, which was appreciated by the whole world. Now the central government is fully active to save the workers in telangana as well."
