Smugglers found a new way to smuggle drugs!
mumbai Crime Branch has arrested two accused in the case of smuggling of MD drugs worth Rs 10 crore. police investigation has revealed that the smugglers were supplying drugs from one place to another by hiding them in plastic brooms. A video of this shocking revelation has also surfaced, which shows how the drugs were hidden inside the plastic fibers of the broom. The case is being investigated by Unit 9 of the Crime Branch.

According to Crime Branch sources, based on an important information received by encounter specialist Daya Nayak, a raid was conducted at a guest house located near Dadar railway station. From there, the police detained two accused, Jahangir Sheikh and Senual Sheikh. 5 kg 40 grams of MD drugs were recovered from them, which is estimated to be worth around Rs 10 crore 8 lakh in the international market.
The interrogation of the arrested accused is going on, so that information about other members of this smuggling network can be obtained.
Smuggling was being done by hiding it in plastic brooms
Investigation revealed that accused Jahangir Sheikh had transported the drugs by hiding them inside plastic brooms. He had hidden these brooms filled with drugs at the house of another accused Senual Sheikh. The police team reached there and seized these brooms and made a panchnama. This method was very clever, so that the police did not get suspicious easily. At present, the police is engaged in searching for other people associated with this network.
Search for the main supplier continues
The police is now looking for the main supplier who provided drugs to these accused. In this case, an FIR has been registered at Matunga police station under Section 8(C) r/w 22(C), 29 of the NDPS Act and further investigation is being done. According to the mumbai Crime Branch, after the revelation of this unique method of drug smuggling, other people associated with the supply chain are also being investigated and more arrests may happen soon.
