Sanjay Nirupam said on the reduction of security of Shinde faction leaders, "Two to 2.5 years ago when Eknath Shinde had left the party and a large number of shiv sena leaders had left the party and joined us, there was a possibility of threat to their security, in view of which the government had made security arrangements for them."
'There is no threat now, so the security has been reduced'
Speaking to news agency ANI in Mumbai, shiv sena leader Sanjay Nirupam further said, "After two and a half years, those who could have posed a threat are themselves lying dead. So there is no threat from them now. In such a situation, definitely a review was done regarding the security of many people. The government and the police understood that there is no threat to their security, so the security was reduced."
