Delhi police busted drug gang, recovered 365 grams of heroin!
The Operation Cell of North-West district has busted a heroin smuggling gang under a major operation. In this action, the police have recovered 365 grams of heroin, which is worth about Rs 73 lakh in the international market. The police have also recovered Rs 1,88,200 in cash from the accused.
According to the DCP, the campaigns being run by the delhi police against drugs are being implemented rapidly under the leadership of Lieutenant governor Vinay Kumar Saxena and police Commissioner Sanjay Arora. Under the Drug Free india Campaign, the Operation Cell of North-West district has taken this major action. The DCP said that the Operation Cell of North-West district had received secret information that Nitin Badhwan, a resident of Wazirpur, JJ Colony and his father Vijay Kumar have collected a large stock of heroin. He is planning to supply heroin in Delhi.
Based on this information, delhi police laid a trap and caught the accused Nitin Badhwan. Initially, he tried to mislead the police, but on strict interrogation, he confessed to hiding heroin at his house. On searching his house, the police also recovered 365 grams of heroin. delhi police has registered a case in this matter under relevant sections at Bharat nagar police station.
He was smuggling heroin for 3 years
The DCP further said that during interrogation, Nitin revealed that he and his father Vijay Kumar have been involved in the illegal business of supplying heroin for the last three years. Vijay Kumar is also a declared criminal of Bharat nagar police station. On the information given by the accused, Rs 1,88,200 cash was recovered from Wazirpur, JJ Colony, which was earned from the drug business.
The drug smuggler is 8th class pass
According to delhi police, Nitin Badhwan (22 years) has studied only till 8th class. He has been involved in the illegal trade of heroin for the last three years. His father Vijay Kumar is also actively involved in this business. At present, the police is investigating to reach the entire chain in this case of drug smuggling.
