DMRC built the highest metro track in delhi, know where?

delhi Metro has set a new record in the engineering field. DMRC achieved a new milestone by constructing the highest point ever near Haiderpur Badli Mor Metro Station under Metro Phase IV Magenta Line Extension (Janakpuri West R.K. Ashram Marg) corridor. This achievement is a testimony to the extraordinary engineering capabilities of delhi Metro rail Corporation (DMRC).

DMRC Principal Executive director Anuj Dayal shared this achievement of delhi Metro with ABP Live and said that this new high point of delhi Metro is located in a 490 meter long section near the Outer Ring Road. This section is built at pillar number 340 of Haiderpur Badli Mor Metro Station of Yellow Line (Samaypur Badli Millennium City Center Gurugram). With an impressive rail level height of 28.362 meters, it surpassed the 23.6 meter high point located at Dhaula Kuan.

Many challenges were faced during construction

delhi Metro faced many technical challenges in this historic construction. DMRC engineers made special plans for installing pre-fabricated components, developing a strong structure and casting the pillars. Since it was built over the existing Yellow Line, the work was completed in three phases to ensure safety and stability. Keeping in mind the limited availability of space, Macalloy Bars were used instead of traditional ground supports, which gave better strength to the structure.

Second highest stretch also completed

delhi Metro has also successfully constructed a 52.288 meter long steel span at the railway crossing near Haiderpur Badli Mor Metro station, which has a height of 27.610 meters. It has become the second highest point of the DMRC network. It was necessary to maintain accuracy during this construction, as very little space was available between the metro viaduct and the current railway track.
