IIMCAA Awards: Sarvpriya Sangwan Journalist of the Year!
The names of the winners of the ninth IMC Awards have been announced at the annual Connections Meet of IIMC Alumni Association. Goonj founder anshu Gupta and writer-journalist Nilesh Misra were honoured with the Alumni of the Year Award at a ceremony held in Delhi.
Sarvpriya Sangwan won the Journalist of the Year Award, under which she received a trophy and a citation along with a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh. silver Jubilee honours were also given to about 80 alumni who passed out from IIMC 25 years ago at the ceremony.
Under the Committee Award, Prof. ashok Ogra of delhi, jahnavi Phukan of Guwahati, Sujata Sabnis of Pune, Prof. Shambhunath Singh of Tezpur and Medin prasad Rai of delhi were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. jamshedpur SSP kishore Kaushal and Gaya's social worker Aditya Vardhan received the Public service Award.
Maharashtra's Ketan Tanna, Odisha's Sudhanshu Patro and Uttar Pradesh's Manindra Mishra were given the Connecting Alumni Award while gujarat Committee of IMCA was given the Connecting Chapter Award. Apart from these, in the Committee Award, santosh kumar Valmiki of UP, kalyan Ranjan and Nitin Pradhan of delhi, Alice Gurm of Punjab, Braj kishore of maharashtra, Byomkesh Biswal of odisha and krishna Pophale of maharashtra were awarded the Pillars of IMCA Award.
The winners of various awards with prize money ranging from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 1.50 lakh were awarded by the jury of the respective category. Apart from Journalist of the Year Sarvapriya Sangwan, Pallav Jain was awarded Agriculture Reporter of the Year, sandeep Rajwade was awarded Reporter of the Year Publishing, Ajatika Singh was awarded Reporter of the Year Broadcasting, Harshita Rathore was awarded producer of the Year, R. Samban got the indian Language Reporter of the Year Publishing, Anuj Kumar Das got the indian Language Reporter of the Year Broadcasting, Pankaj Bora got the Ad Person of the Year, ashish Shukla got the PR Person of the Year award.
