Jhansi-Prayagraj rail route halted due to OHE line breakage!

Traffic on Jhansi-Prayagraj rail route was disrupted due to breakage of overhead electric (OHE) line near Belatal station in mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. Due to which four Mahakumbh special trains going from jhansi to Prayagraj had to be stopped midway. This incident happened around 10:30 pm, meanwhile passengers had to face a lot of problems, people were worried even for drinking water. After four and a half hours of hard work, the line has been repaired, then the trains could leave from here.

It is being told that Kumbh mela special train MKM19 had to be stopped due to breakage of OHE line near pole number 1234/39, two kilometers before Belatal station. The driver of the train immediately informed the officials. After which all the trains on this route were stopped for security reasons. As soon as the information of the said train stopping on Prayagraj railway route was received, three other trains of Kumbh Special coming on the same route were also stopped midway.

Road blocked due to breakage of OHE line

On the information of technical fault, apart from GRP police officers, people of the district administration also reached the spot. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Mukul Kumar, Naib Tehsildar of Kulpahar Tehsil also reached the spot. Where he took information from the railway workers repairing the OHE line. At the same time, to fix the line, a power wagon was immediately called from mahoba station and the railway workers started the repair.

On this matter, Mukul Kumar said that till now the technical fault has been reported in the breakage of OHE line, the rest is being investigated. The train was standing on the outer which has been parked on the platform by the engine coming from Harpalpur station, all the passengers are safe. On the instructions of jhansi Divisional Railway Manager, the technical team was immediately sent to the spot. The reasons for the breakage of the line are being investigated.
