BJP's claim raises political temperature in delhi, 'Majority in MCD...'
bjp on tuesday (25 February) alleged that AAP has lost its majority in the Municipal Corporation of delhi (MCD). Also challenged Mayor Mahesh Khinchi to call a special session of the house on march 1 to prove majority. leader of Opposition in MCD Sardar raja Iqbal Singh said that AAP's reluctance to allow the formation of the permanent committee of the Municipal Corporation for the last two years has stalled the development and administrative work of the corporation.

He said that in the last few months, many AAP councilors have joined bjp, raising serious doubts over AAP's majority in the corporation. bjp leaders claim that now AAP has only 112 councilors left in the corporation, while the opposition has 119 councilors and congress has 7 councilors. raja Iqbal Singh said, "The mayor can leave anytime, so AAP leaders have started making false announcements."
