On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva took a holy bath at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, good health and well-being of all Delhiites. Virendra Sachdeva said, "Mahakumbh is not just a religious event, but the biggest confluence of India's Sanatan culture, social harmony and faith. It is a matter of good fortune for any devotee to take a dip in the Triveni Sangam and receive the blessings of Maa Ganga, Maa yamuna and invisible Saraswati."
Importance of Mahakumbh
Mahakumbh is organized once every 12 years in Prayagraj, Haridwar, ujjain and Nashik. It is believed that bathing in the Sangam washes away all sins and one attains salvation. The Triveni Sangam of Prayagraj is considered the holiest place in Hinduism, where the Ganga, yamuna and invisible Saraswati rivers meet. Devotees earn virtue by taking a dip at this confluence.
Grand event of Sanatan culture
During maha Kumbh, saints, naga sadhus of Akharas, devotees and tourists from the country and abroad take a holy dip in the Sangam. This event is one of the biggest events of Hinduism, where lakhs of devotees gather.
What did Virendra Sachdeva say?
After taking a dip in the Triveni Sangam, Virendra Sachdeva said, "Today on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, I prayed to lord shiva for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the country, society and the people of Delhi." He said that events like maha Kumbh strengthen our Sanatan traditions and give us an opportunity to be proud of our culture.

Special prayers were also held in various temples of delhi on the occasion of Mahashivratri. chief minister rekha Gupta performed Rudrabhishek at Gaurishankar temple, chandni Chowk. Meanwhile, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vijender Gupta prayed for good governance by worshipping at the Shiv temple in Rohini, while minister Ashish Sood performed abhishek of lord shiva along with his family at the Jhandewalan temple. delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva's holy dip in maha Kumbh and his prayers have increased the enthusiasm of religious faith among the people of Delhi.
