Firing at Khanpur mla Umesh Kumar's camp office!
Firing has once again taken place at the camp office of Umesh Kumar, an independent mla from Khanpur in Uttarakhand. The incident is said to have taken place around 3:00 am on february 27, when two masked attackers opened fire at the office. A CCTV video of this entire incident has also surfaced, in which the attackers can be seen firing. After this incident, a complaint was lodged with the police by Umesh Kumar, after which the Haridwar police swung into action and investigation has been started.
Haridwar SSP Parmendra Singh Dobal said that the matter is being taken seriously and the accused are being searched for. He said, "This incident has come to our notice. CCTV footage is being examined and soon the accused will be arrested and sent behind bars. No criminal will be spared."
This is not the first time that Khanpur mla Umesh Kumar's office has been attacked, even before this his house and office have been targeted. The ongoing dispute between mla Umesh Kumar and former mla Pranav Singh champion is believed to be the main reason behind this incident. There has been a long-standing tension between the two leaders, due to which there is a constant tension in the Khanpur area.
According to the local people, the law and order situation in the area is deteriorating due to this dispute. people are scared and are demanding strict action from the police administration due to repeated firing incidents. In the CCTV footage obtained by the police, two masked attackers are seen, who escape from the spot after firing at the camp office of mla Umesh Kumar. The police is closely investigating this video, so that the accused can be identified.
According to Haridwar police, several teams have been formed to arrest the accused involved in this incident. The police is also scanning the footage of other CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding areas to find out the routes of the accused. Apart from this, local people and eyewitnesses are also being questioned.
