Minister Manjinder Sirsa cornered AAP on the allegation…

The Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) was accused of removing punjabi language from the list of regional language subjects of class 10th. Aam Aadmi Party, congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) objected to this issue and demanded clarification from the government on this. After this, CBSE has given clarification on the allegation of removing punjabi language. After which now delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has hit back at 'AAP'.

delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that CBSE has made it clear that no changes have been made in the subjects. The list given on the board's website is only for example, all the existing subjects will continue and there will also be a punjabi language exam. He said, "No change has been made in the two-board exam system. Despite this, AAP leaders of punjab are spreading misinformation on this and creating confusion among the students. Stop misleading students and do not do politics with education." What did CBSE say? The Central Board of Secondary education has also clarified that punjabi language will not be removed from the twice a year 10th board exam system.

CBSE has clarified that the recently released draft policy does not make any changes in the subjects currently offered for the 10th board exams except punjabi (code 004). CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said that this list is indicative. He emphasized that all the subjects currently available to the students will continue in the two-board exam system. This clarification came in response to the criticism, after which punjabi was not mentioned in the other languages listed in the latest draft policy, while other regional languages were included. As per the new rules, students will be able to opt for the exam once or both times. The first examination will be held between 17 february to 6 march and the second examination will be held between 5 May to 20 May.
