This incident took place on the border road near badrinath Mana. On this incident, the BRO Major said that the glacier has broken near the workers' camp. Due to this, this incident has happened. However, it has not been officially announced yet how many workers are buried.
After this incident, the army and ITBP have started rescue in Chamoli. The highway is closed beyond Hanuman Chatti. SDRF and NDRF have been dispatched to the spot. But due to the closure of the highway, they are stranded on the way. Chamoli DM Dr. sandeep Tiwari said that 57 workers are reported to be in the Mana Pass area.

At the same time, in view of the rain and snowfall in Chamoli district, district Magistrate sandeep Tiwari has instructed the officials associated with IRS to remain alert. The district Magistrate said that the officials have been instructed to restore power supply by repairing the damaged power lines besides smoothening the traffic on the obstructed roads.

During this time, 10 workers out of the workers working due to avalanche have been safely evacuated. The work of rescuing the remaining workers is being done by Garhwal 9 Brigade and BRO.
