A major accident has happened in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Where 57 laborers have been buried in snow due to sudden glacier break near Mana village. uttarakhand Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over this accident and prayed for the safety of the workers. He said that rescue operation is being done by ITBP, BRO and other rescue teams. cm Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over this accident and wrote on X- 'Sad news was received of many laborers being buried due to avalanche during the construction work conducted by BRO near Mana village in Chamoli district. Relief and rescue operations are being conducted by ITBP, BRO and other rescue teams. I pray to Lord badri Vishal for the safety of all the labor brothers.'

cm Dhami said that "16 workers have been rescued in this accident. All preparations have been made. We are taking help from ITBP. The district administration and all others are in touch and we are trying to rescue everyone as soon as possible. Efforts are being made to evacuate all the workers. We pray that all the workers are safe. The disaster management team is trying continuously. The local administration is present on the spot.
This accident happened near Mana village. 16 workers have been rescued in this accident, although 41 workers are still trapped in the snow. Due to bad weather in Chamoli, there are a lot of difficulties in carrying out relief and rescue operations. Due to snowfall, the road near Hanuman Chatti has been closed. Due to which the NDRF and SDRF teams are also facing difficulties in reaching the spot. At the same time, due to snowfall, help is not being provided even by helicopter. In such a situation, there is difficulty in reaching there,
BRO Major Pratik Kale told That 57 workers of BRO were working. During this time, due to avalanche, 10 workers out of the workers working have been evacuated safely, the work of rescuing the remaining workers is being done by Garhwal 9 Brigade and BRO. On receiving the information of the incident, taking immediate action as per the instructions of SDRF Commandant, SDRF team under the leadership of SI Devidutt Barthwal has been dispatched to the site of incident from the nearest post Joshimath. Along with this, high altitude rescue team has been prepared at Gauchar and Sahasradhara, dehradun post.
