

Government employees in uttarakhand are in for a treat!
The state government has decided to relax the promotion standards once in their service period, fulfilling the much-awaited demand of the employees. This decision will prove to be a relief for those employees who fulfill 50 percent of the eligibility criteria for promotion, but could not get promotion till now due to the higher post being vacant in the department.
Many employee organizations including the State Employees Joint Council were demanding for a long time to implement the rules for relaxation in promotion. Earlier the government had implemented it for a limited time, but now it has been decided to implement it permanently. After this decision, now the employees will get relaxation in the promotion standards once in their entire service period, which is likely to benefit thousands of employees.
Probation period will have to be completed for promotion
Under the new decision of the government, if 10 years of service was mandatory for promotion to a post, but that post is lying vacant, then the employee working on the lower post will be eligible for promotion only after 5 years of service. However, this exemption will be given only to those employees who have completed the probation period.
This decision is seeing enthusiasm among the employees. State President of State Employees Joint Council Arun Pandey said that this issue was raised prominently in the convention and the government was demanded to re-implement the rules. The positive decision of the government will give thousands of employees a chance to move forward in their career.
