Karnataka minister Says Milk Fees To Be Hiked In Response To Farmers' Needs Due To Rising Production Expenses
Karnataka Animal Husbandry minister K. venkatesh on wednesday said that milk prices may be hiked in reaction to farmers' demands due to growing production fees.
However, he did not specify the timing or quantity of the charge increase.
"There may be a call from farmers to grow milk fees. We have discussed it, and they may be inquiring for a hike of Rs 10 per liter. We've now not but decided on the precise growth; however, we can raise the fee after discussing it with the chief minister," venkatesh stated in reaction to a question inside the Legislative Council.
He added, "Production charges are growing daily, so the farmers' demand is affordable. Retaining both consumers and farmers in thoughts, we will enforce a fee growth." In advance, karnataka Milk Federation chairman Bheema Naik had also hinted at a possible fee hike.
