
Big setback for Elon Musk! SpaceX Starship rocket fails...
Elon Musk's company SpaceX's Starship rocket went out of control just minutes after launch on thursday (February 6), scattering its pieces in the sky near South florida and the Bahamas.
The 403-foot-long (123 m) rocket took off from texas just before sunset. SpaceX successfully took off in the first stage, but the spacecraft could not proceed on its predetermined route and lost control.
Videos went viral on social media
SpaceX's live stream showed that the Starship was moving uncontrollably, after which the company reported losing contact. Shortly after this, several videos surfaced on social media, in which pieces of the spacecraft were seen falling like fireballs in the sky near South florida and the Bahamas. Due to this incident, flights were temporarily halted at Miami, fort Lauderdale, Palm beach and Orlando airports due to space launch debris.
SpaceX issued a statement
SpaceX later said in an update that during the launch, Starship could not move fast on the predetermined path, due to which our contact with it was lost. After this, the team tried to implement the emergency protocol and immediately spoke to the security officials.
SpaceX said, 'We will review the data from today's flight test to better understand the root cause. Today's flight will inspire Starship to improve further.
Launch took place after two months
This launch took place after almost two months. Earlier in January, a launch ended after an explosion, causing burning debris to fall on Turks and Caicos. nasa was closely monitoring this mission as the space agency has already booked Starship to land astronauts on the moon later this decade.
