
PM Modi inaugurated Vantara Wildlife, fed cubs!
Prime minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Wildlife Rescue, Rehabilitation and Conservation Center Vantara in Gujarat. During this, PM Modi inspected the various facilities of Vantara. The Vantara Conservation Center built in Gujarat is home to more than two thousand species and more than one and a half lakh rescued animals. PM Modi inquired about the excellent veterinary facilities and rare species of the Vantara Conservation Center. He also saw the surgery of animals. While reaching Vantara, the prime minister spent time with many animals including lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants and parrots.
PM fed lion cubs, fed them milk
PM Modi fed milk to cubs of different species here. The cubs he spent time with include Asiatic cubs, white lions, caracal cubs and clouded leopard cubs. The mother of the white lion cub whom PM Modi was seen feeding milk was rescued and brought to Vantara. Caracal lions were once present in large numbers in India, but are now becoming rare. After breeding of Caracal lions in Vantara, they are released into the wild.
Visited MRI room and operation theatre
PM Modi visited the MRI room in the hospital and saw an MRI of an Asiatic lion. Apart from this, he also visited the operation theatre, where surgery was being done on a leopard. This leopard was hit by a car on the highway, after which it was rescued and brought to Vantara. Similarly, animals rescued from other places also get a place in Vantara. Asiatic lions, snow leopards, one-horned rhinoceros etc. are especially protected in Vantara.
PM Modi spent time watching animals
In Vantara, prime minister Modi saw the Golden tiger and 4 Snow Tigers rescued from the circus. PM Modi patted an Okapi and also met a chimpanzee. Played lovingly with an orangutan. After this the PM saw a hippopotamus closely.
