Now milk is going to disappear from the kitchen!
After the fare of Namma Metro of Karnataka's Bangalore Metro rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) increased, now the price of milk is going to increase in the state. The price of one liter will increase by this much
Karnataka's Animal Husbandry minister K venkatesh said that milk prices will soon increase due to the increasing demand from dairy farmers. In the Legislative Council on Wednesday, he referred to the economic pressure on the farmers and said, we are taking care of both the concerns of the farmers and the interests of the consumers before implementing the new rates. He also said, the final decision on increasing the price of milk will be taken after discussion with chief minister Siddaramaiah. According to the report, the price of one liter Nandini milk may increase from Rs 44 to Rs 47.
Why is the price of milk increasing?
Earlier, milk prices had increased in june last year. During that time, the karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (KMF) had increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter. Earlier, in July 2023, the state government had approved an increase of Rs 3 per liter, while KMF had talked about increasing it by Rs 5. During that time, chief minister Siddaramaiah had said that the price of milk in karnataka is still lower than many other states.
Their price will also increase
Now if the price of milk increases, then dairy products like ghee, butter, cheese and ice cream will also become expensive. Along with this, the Bangalore Hotel Association has also talked about increasing the price of filter coffee. At present, the price of a cup of filter coffee is Rs 12 to 15, but after the increase in the price of coffee powder, its price is likely to increase by Rs 15 to 20.
