Block-district level meetings started to strengthen Congress!
After losing the delhi elections, the congress has decided to gear up again and once again came into the fray and moved towards strengthening its organization. According to delhi congress State President Devendra Yadav, the monthly block and district congress Committee meetings have started again so that the party can be revived at the grassroots level in the capital. He said that due to the assembly elections, these meetings could not be held for the last few months, but when these meetings started again, the response of the congress workers was very encouraging.
Devendra Yadav said that all the congress workers participated in the Block congress Committee meetings held in 258 blocks on march 2 and in 14 districts on Wednesday. Senior leaders including former MPs, former ministers of delhi, former MLAs, former and present municipal councilors and officials participated in these meetings.
Along with this, keeping in mind the suggestions and ideas given in the Block and district congress Committee meetings, the party will work towards strengthening the organization at the grassroots level. He said that when the party embarks on a campaign to revive the party at the grassroots level, the strengths and weaknesses of the organization during the recent assembly elections will be taken into account and changes will be made wherever necessary to strengthen the party.
Devendra Yadav said that delhi congress, as a responsible opposition party, will raise the voice of the people if the bjp government in delhi does not fulfill the promises made and fails to restart the development work. He said that the development work done by the congress government during its 15 years of rule to make delhi one of the best cities in the world has been destroyed by the 11 years of misrule of the kejriwal government.
Now people are expecting the bjp government to restore the old glory of the capital, which the delhi congress will monitor closely. Devendra Yadav says that the bjp government will not be left to resort to hollow speeches, but it will be forced to fulfill the promises made to the public. First, the government should fulfil its promise of depositing Rs 2,500 every month in the account of every woman in the capital as announced and resume distribution of stalled public welfare pensions.
