Abu Azmi said on controversy, '...so did I have courage to speak?'

Amidst the aurangzeb controversy in Maharashtra, Samajwadi party MLA Abu Azmi has given clarification in an exclusive conversation with ABP News. He has said that he did not say anything wrong about any great man, but only said that aurangzeb was a good ruler, GDP was good during his time.

Abu Azmi said, "I have not given any controversial statement till date. Truth cannot be harmed. I had taken oath in Hindi, there was controversy over why I did not take oath in Marathi. I cannot even think of insulting Chhatrapati Shivaji. The fight between Chhatrapati shivaji and aurangzeb was a fight for power, kingdom, what is the need to bring religion into it?"

'Truth cannot be erased'

The SP leader says that the truth of history cannot be erased. During this, Abu Azmi also narrated the story of aurangzeb in Varanasi. He said that why no case is filed against the historians who have written history in the book? Will they close those books?
