Massive fire due to leakage in mumbai gas pipeline!

A massive fire has broken out due to leakage in a gas pipeline in Marol area of Maharashtra's capital Mumbai. A car, rickshaw and bike were burnt to ashes due to fire in the gas pipeline. 3 people have been injured in this incident. The injured were immediately admitted to the nearest trauma center. They are being treated in the hospital. ADFO SK Sawant of mumbai fire Department said about this incident, "We received information about the fire at around 12:30 in the night. The incident took place at the place where the work of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was going on. We have received the first information that 3 people have been burnt due to the fire. They have been sent for treatment."

At the time of the incident, around 12:30 pm, road work was going on near Shere punjab Junction, when a large gas pipeline burst after coming under the grip of a JCB. A huge fire broke out due to the bursting of the gas pipeline, in which three cars passing by caught fire. As soon as the information of the incident was received, two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and the fire was brought under control within half an hour.

At present, MIDC police is investigating further after registering a case against the road worker. In this fire incident, Arvind Kumar Kaithal (21) suffered 30 to 40 percent burn injuries, Aman Harishankar Saroj (22) suffered 40 to 50 percent burn injuries and suresh Kailash Gupta (52) autorickshaw driver suffered 20 percent burns in this incident.

What is the reason for the fire?

According to ADFO SK Sawant, BMC construction work is going on at the place of the incident. During the construction work, after the PNG gas pipeline was damaged, a gas leakage incident came to light and suddenly a fire broke out. In this incident, the car, rickshaw and bike present at the spot were burnt to ashes.

MGL staff stopped the gas leak and extinguished the fire. 4 people were injured in this incident. At that time, the fire department official had said that the fire was caused due to leakage in the gas pipeline of Mahanagar Gas Limited. MGL employees reached the spot and stopped the gas leak.
