Yogi government's big decision for UP farmers!
Yogi government is going to revise the circle rate of land in the state. This process will start soon especially in many districts including Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Ayodhya, Prayagraj. The government is working on priority in those districts where the circle rate has not changed for years.
The circle rate of land has been revised in 37 districts in the state from january 1, 2024 till now. Farmers will get the most benefit from this process, because they will be able to get the right price for their land during land acquisition. The government says that this will give impetus to development projects and farmers will also be benefited.
What is circle rate?
The circle rate is the minimum price at which the government recognizes the purchase and sale of land. Land registration cannot be done at a price lower than this. In many districts, the circle rate had become very old, due to which farmers and land sellers were not getting the fair price for their property.
Revision is done as per the law
According to the Uttar Pradesh Stamp (Property Valuation) Second Amendment Rules – 2013, the circle rate is determined by the district Magistrate every year in August. If required, the rates can be revised even in the middle of the year.
Action will be taken soon in these districts
In the recent review meeting of the Chief Secretary, instructions were given to speed up this process. The districts in which the circle rate has not changed for years include:
Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Muzaffarnagar, Jhansi, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Badaun, Kushinagar, Kasganj, Etawah, Kannauj, Maharajganj, Sant Kabirnagar, Kaushambi, Jalaun, Lalitpur and Etah. The government will soon start the revision process in these districts, so that the correct price of the land there can be decided.
