Ruckus over protest against urdu prayer in Gaya school…

A teacher protested against urdu prayer in the government Middle school of Anti panchayat of Gaya district. After the teacher made a video of it, he was beaten up. The incident happened on Saturday. The victim teacher ajay Prasad said that he was beaten up by some youths of the Muslim community on Saturday. During this, the female teacher ran away.

Earlier prayers were held in hindi in the school

Teacher ajay Prasad said that we had made a video of the prayer in urdu, due to which the youth of the Muslim community were angry. After the incident of assault, an FIR has been lodged in Anti police station. Somehow he came to the school premises and saved his life. The school was established in 2006. Earlier prayers were held in hindi in the school. He has been deputed as a teacher since the year 2017. Prayers were being held in urdu for the last 1 year. There are 160 enrolled students in the school, in which there are 8 teachers. He is the only male teacher here. The education department has been informed about this. Investigation is being done through the block education officer.

Principal Shabiha Khatoon, on seeing the press, first locked the school from inside and refused to tell anything. She was repeatedly saying do not disturb during Roza. After somehow convincing her, she said that nothing like this has happened. An evasive answer was given. She said that preamble, national anthem and prayer are always done.

Situation of tension between two communities in the village

She said that she is locking the school from inside. The number of students in the school for the examination was 10 to 12. Examinations up to class 2 have started.
