From where to where will the metro run in Patna? 

chief minister Nitish Kumar on tuesday took stock of the progress of the construction work of patna Metro rail Project. During this, the chief minister inaugurated the third TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) near patna station in front of buddha Smriti Park by pressing the button. After the inauguration, the TBM came out cutting for the underground metro line, which was observed by the Chief Minister.

First phase to start by august 15, 2025

Urban Development and Housing minister Jeevesh Kumar was also present during the inspection. Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh gave detailed information to the chief minister regarding the progress of the construction work of patna Metro Alignment Corridor 1 and 2. He said that a target has been set to complete the construction work on priority basis for a total of 6.01 km of patna Metro line from Malahi Pakadi to Khemnichak, Bhootnath Road, Zeromile, Pataliputra bus Terminal. The target is to start this line by 15 august 2025.

For the construction of the underground metro line, work was started from gandhi Maidan station on 21 november 2023 through TBM, which has reached patna station via Akashvani underground station. During the inspection, the chief minister also reached near patna Railway Junction and took detailed information about the work plan. The chief minister directed the officials to speed up the patna Metro construction work.

'There should not be any hindrance in the construction work'

The chief minister said that we have prepared the format of patna Metro rail Project in a better way. We have been continuously inspecting its construction works. We have constantly instructed the officials to ensure that there is no hindrance in the construction work. Complete the patna Metro rail Project on time so that people have ease of movement.
