
What is the intention behind Rs 2500 per month scheme?
During the assembly elections in delhi, BJP had promised Mahila Samridhi Yojana for women. Now the party has taken one more step towards fulfilling this promise. Last Saturday, i.e. on march 8, the delhi Cabinet approved this scheme. However, some rules and conditions have also been fixed regarding this scheme, on which the opposition parties have started raising questions.
The benefit of Mahila Samridhi Yojana will be available only to those women who have BPL (Below Poverty Line) card. That is, all the BPL card holder women of the capital will be given financial assistance of Rs 2500 every month by the government.
Announcing this scheme, delhi Chief minister Rekha Gupta said that a budget of Rs 5100 crore has also been allocated for this scheme this year. However, the aam aadmi party has raised questions on this scheme and said that only a particular category of women will be able to get help from this, while the rest of the women will have to remain deprived of it.
What is Mahila Samridhi Yojana?
Mahila Samridhi Yojana is an initiative implemented by the delhi government which aims to provide financial assistance to women. Under this scheme, BPL (Below Poverty Line) card holder women will be given financial assistance of Rs 2500 every month.
The main objective of Mahila Samridhi Yojana is to improve the economic condition of women and enhance their quality of life by providing them financial assistance. The benefit of this scheme will be given to those women whose family's name is in the BPL list, that is, their annual income is less than a certain limit.
