Criminal injured by police bullet in encounter dies!

On sunday (March 09, 2025), two criminals shot a property dealer during a road rage in Ara. The accused who were fleeing after committing the crime were surrounded by the police of Jagdishpur police station. Seeing themselves surrounded by the police, the accused opened fire. In retaliation, both the criminals fell victim to police bullets. They were admitted to the hospital. One of them, Chhotu Mishra, died today (Wednesday) during treatment.

Chhotu Mishra's father jai Prakash Mishra has accused the doctors of the hospital of not treating him properly. He said that two days ago, his son was asked to be referred to Danapur Hospital in Patna. The police said that the doctors are not referring and the doctors are blaming the police. On sunday, he was going to Bagen Gola in Buxar for a Tilak ceremony with a friend from his village Kaura. Meanwhile, near his village, bike-borne miscreants overtook the vehicle and fired six rounds in quick succession. Pappu Singh was shot in the incident. He was admitted to Sadar Hospital in Ara.

People protested by keeping the body

After the death of Chhotu Mishra, the angry family started a ruckus and protested by keeping the body on the road. The family accused the hospital management and the police of negligence in treatment.

The mother died due to bullet injury in 2021

It is worth noting that in 2021, there was an encounter between the police and the miscreants in Shivpur-Anand nagar locality of Ara Town police station area. A 50-year-old woman Shail Devi was shot. The woman was the wife of jai Prakash Mishra. Her son Chhotu Mishra was absconding in the murder case. The woman was shot near the neck in the firing.
