Dragon's dominance will end in the Indo-Pacific! trump took this big step, what will Xi jinping do now?

USA News: Elbridge Colby was nominated for defense policy. During this time, he warned the USA several times about the threat from China.

USA News: These days both China and russia are emerging as big challenges for America. However, according to a report, America's biggest concern is china, especially in the Indo-Pacific region, where india is its most powerful ally.

If US President Donald Trump's nominee for Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Elbridge Colby, is approved by the Senate, it will further strengthen the belief that the real threat to Washington is Beijing, not Moscow.

Have told china the danger

Elbridge Colby is one of the most outspoken trump administration officials arguing that the US should shift its focus from europe and russia to china and the growing challenges posed by the Indo-Pacific region.

He believes that the biggest threat to American interests in the international system is the potential Chinese dominance over the Indo-Pacific, which could seriously impact America's security, freedom, and prosperity. He has also written an article on this in the Financial Times.

This was said about Taiwan

Elbridge Colby faced tough questions during his confirmation hearing in the Senate Armed services Committee meeting last week. During this, senator Cotton questioned Colby, "In the last few years you started saying that taiwan is important to us, but it is not an existential crisis nor is it essential to our security. Can you explain why there has been this softening in your stance on the defense of Taiwan?"

According to a report published in the Eurasian Times, Elbridge Colby responded that he has always considered taiwan very important to the United Statesbut did not consider it a question of existence. He argued that this idea is based on the change in the "military balance" between the US and China.

"What has changed, senator, is a dramatic deterioration of the military balance," he said. Underlining America's lack of preparedness in China's sphere of influence, Colby said, "This is far from a futile and highly costly effort that could cost our military heavily."
