Unique protest by candidates by giving up food on Holi…
The dharna of the candidates demanding appointment in 69000 teacher recruitment in Uttar Pradesh is going on in the Eco Garden of the capital Lucknow. During this, the candidates present at the dharna site fasted on friday (14 March) on the occasion of Holi.
The candidates present at the dharna site say that the state government has been procrastinating in the 69000 teacher recruitment case from the beginning. This is why the matter went to the supreme court and there too the government runs away from presenting its side. The supreme court only gives dates after dates.
The dharna candidates made this demand
The candidates say that till now the hearing has not been held on more than a dozen dates. Now the next hearing is to be held on march 18. We all demand that the government should send an advocate to the supreme court and settle this matter as soon as possible. That is why all of us have not eaten a single grain of food today and have fasted for our demand.
Amarendra Patel, who is leading the movement of reserved category candidates, said that holi is a festival of harmony, but it is very unfortunate that the youth of Dalit backward society in Uttar Pradesh had to adopt a process of giving up food for social justice even on this festival.
Serious allegations leveled against the government
The candidates alleged that the stubbornness and cruelty of the government forced the reserved category candidates involved in the 69000 teacher recruitment to remain hungry on the festival of Holi. Our demand is that the government should take cognizance of the movement of the candidates and get the matter settled by sending advocates to the supreme court and give us our rights.
Ravi shankar Patel, dhananjay Gupta, amit Maurya, anand Yadav, Umakant Maurya, Dharmveer Prajapati, Shrikant Maurya and other candidates were present at the Eco Garden Dharna Sthal. The candidates' eyes are fixed on the next hearing to be held on march 18.
