Government-honored farmer Kailash Nagre commits suicide…

A farmer in Buldhana district of maharashtra committed suicide due to water shortage. Everyone is shocked by the death of the farmer as he was honored by the maharashtra government for his excellent work. The farmer has been identified as Kailash arjun Nagre. He had consumed poison and his body was recovered from the field on thursday morning.

A suicide note has however been recovered from his pocket. Kailash's family consists of his wife and three children. Kailash was honored with the yuva Kisan Award by the maharashtra government in 2020. It is being told that he had fasted for five days last month in which he raised the problem of water supply in the village.

Mentioned the fast in the suicide note

In his suicide note, Kailash said that farmers are facing water crisis and due to this he has decided to commit suicide. He has also mentioned his fast. Also, it has been demanded that water be supplied to the farmers from the canal of Karkapurna pond as soon as possible. On the other hand, the local people are very angry with Kailash's suicide. The angry people were not ready to lift the dead body until the demand was met.

The maharashtra State Relief and Rehabilitation Department has recently released a figure according to which 2635 farmers committed suicide in the state in 2024. NCP-SP Chief sharad pawar has raised the issue of farmers' suicide. He said that the information coming from Marathwada and Vidarbha is worrying. He said that he will find out the real figures of suicides in these areas. sharad pawar demanded from the central government that they should bring a policy to help the farmers.
