Regarding the grenade attack on a temple in amritsar, punjab, chief minister bhagwant mann said that the police will soon solve the matter. He also said, "Drones are coming from Pakistan. I want to assure the people of punjab that the state is safe... There are always many attempts to disturb the peace from time to time. Drugs, gangsters, extortion are a part of this.'' cm Mann said, "In other states, during the festival of Holi, the police have to lathi-charge during processions but such things do not happen in Punjab. The law and order situation in punjab is good."

What did the police say?

According to news agency PTI, the explosion outside damaged its walls and broke the window panes. Although there were no casualties in the incident, it has spread panic among the residents of Khandwala area of Amritsar.

In the CCTV footage of the incident, two unidentified persons are seen coming towards Thakur Dwar temple on a motorcycle. After stopping for a few seconds, one of them is seen throwing some explosive material towards the temple and then they flee from the spot.

When did the incident happen?

amritsar police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the priest of the temple informed the police about the incident at around 2 o'clock in the night. He said that he and other senior officers reached the spot. Bhullar said that the police team is trying to trace the people involved in the blast and they will be caught soon. He said that the forensic team has collected samples from the spot and the investigation is going on. In the last four months, police posts in amritsar and Gurdaspur have also been targeted and there have been many incidents of explosions.
