After china, now we will protest against American goods too...

After America's announcement of imposing extra tariff on indian goods from april 2, there is a lot of concern among the trade organizations of India. The Chamber of Trade and industry (CTI) has strongly opposed this decision. CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal said that if America imposes extra tariff on indian goods, then a campaign to boycott American goods will be launched in India.

india will suffer a loss of 7 billion dollars

CTI General Secretary vishnu Bhargava said that America has already imposed tariff on Canada, china and mexico and is now preparing to increase the duty on indian goods. Due to this decision, india may suffer a loss of about 7 billion dollars (about Rs 58,000 crore) every year. This will increase the difficulties of indian exporters and traders.

Many sectors will be affected

india exports many products like metal, pearl, stone, leather, chemical, textile, electronic, electric goods, spices, machinery parts, pharmaceutical products and rice to America. Exporters from all over india including delhi can get a big shock from this tariff. Traders are confused, because many orders have already been placed and a large quantity of goods has left for America.

CTI will run 'American goods leave India' campaign

CTI General Secretary Gurmeet Arora and Senior Vice President deepak Garg made it clear that if America imposes extra tariff on indian products, then CTI will start a massive campaign against American goods. He said, "Just like we ran a campaign against Chinese goods and its effect was seen, in the same way now American products will also be opposed." American beverages, wafers, food chains and many services are consumed in large quantities in India. CTI has warned that if America does not reconsider its decision, then American products will be boycotted across the country.
