ABVP's 'Ekatma Yatra' in JNU, slogans raised…

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) took out ekta Yatra in jawaharlal nehru University (JNU). This yatra was organized in protest against the alleged divisive and casteist slogans raised in a recent demonstration led by JNUSU General Secretary Priyanshi Arya. ABVP workers raised slogans against leftism and casteist politics during this period. ABVP alleges that slogans like 'Tilak, Taraju aur Talwar, Inko Maaro Joote Chaar' and 'Brahmanvaad Ho Barbaad' were raised during a demonstration led by JNUSU General Secretary Priyanshi Arya. ABVP strongly opposed these slogans and termed it as a mentality that divides the society.

ABVP's response: 'Ekatma Yatra'

ABVP took out ekta Yatra from ganga Dhaba to Barak Hostel against this alleged casteist politics, in which hundreds of students participated. During the march, the activists waved ABVP flags and raised various slogans, including:

•‘Hindu-Hindu bhai-bhai, where did caste come in between’

•‘In the memory of baba Saheb Savarkar, say Vande Mataram’

•‘Marxism’s grave will be dug on JNU’s land’

•‘You will divide with casteism, we will unite with nationalism’

ABVP statement: ‘Answer to the tukde-tukde gang’

ABVP JNU president Rajeshwar Kant Dubey said that this march was taken out to answer the tukde-tukde gang. He said, “The philosophy of JNU is not leftist, it is that of the students. Organizations like BAPSA are spreading anarchy in the name of social justice. There is a fight against casteism, but violent and divisive slogans are given. The entire Hindu society wears Tilak and also takes up the sword when needed. This yatra is to expose those fake organizations that raise such slogans only to provoke and incite.”
