CCTV surfaced, cm fadnavis told why there was ruckus?

There is tense calm after the violence in Nagpur, maharashtra amid the ruckus over the tomb of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb. Meanwhile, CCTV footage of the violence has surfaced. In the video, the rioters are seen wearing handkerchiefs on their faces and creating a ruckus. Some are pelting stones. Some have sticks in their hands.

cm told how the violence started

Regarding the violence, maharashtra chief minister devendra fadnavis said in the assembly that on monday evening a rumor took hold, in which it was said that there was a religious symbol on the sheet placed on a symbolic grave. Due to this rumor, the matter heated up and incidents of violence took place. It seems to be a well-planned attack.

There was a gathering of 80 to 100 people - Fadnavis

The chief minister said, "12 two-wheelers were damaged in this violence and there was a gathering of 80 to 100 people at the spot. The severity of the violence can be gauged from the fact that four-wheelers including a crane and two JCBs were burnt. Apart from this, some people were also attacked with swords." He said, "33 policemen were injured during the violence, out of which 3 are DCP level officers. Along with this, 5 common citizens have also been attacked. A policeman was also attacked with an axe."

How many cases were registered?

chief minister fadnavis also informed that 5 crimes have been registered in connection with this entire incident. Along with this, restrictions have been imposed in 11 police station areas in view of the security arrangements. 5 contingents of SRPF have been deployed to maintain law and order. The chief minister appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace and also said that the state government will take strict action in this case and the culprits will not be spared. He said, "The film Chhava has incited people's anger against Aurangzeb, yet everyone should maintain peace in Maharashtra."
